Turkey, Pakistani Independence Day, and other thoughts.

I was out in Istanbul Turkey for a few days to handle an issue for a client. It is tough running a Statewide campaign and still practicing law, but counseling businesses gives me a birds eye view of what Illinois companies are going through. I will have some pics up from the trip.
On Monday night I had an opportunity to speak in Rockford, Illinois at the “Law and Order” event hosted by Jan Klaas and the Winnebago County Republican Organization. It was such a great turnout and there were many good questions by the attendees.
Over the weekend, I attended the Pakistani Independence Day Parade. It was a great event as the rain stopped just in time for the parade kickoff. I had a chance to speak to the crowd-what a wonderful and diverse community! My heart goes out to the almost 2 million Pakistanis affected by the recent storms. I will have something on facebook shortly to let people know how they can help.

Being an American of Pakistani descent, on behalf of my Pakistani community I sincerely appreciate your care and concerns for the flood affected victims.
I wish you the best to lead the AG’s office to success.
